Mission
- Disseminate and expand the development of knowledge in science and technology through education and research, and prepare and support the development of human capital as an essential and strategic aspect of Timor-Leste’s sustainable development.
- Implement teaching and learning, scientific research, and social service at the higher education level in education and health, as well as professional development in science and technology, according to international standards, and support students in achieving an adequate qualification and profession.
Objective
- Prepare students to think critically and independently to make decisions and provide midwifery care.
- Prepare Students to communicate effectively while providing midwifery care.
- Prepare Students to develop practice on ongoing professional learning.
- Develop care practice to manage essential tasks in midwifery, including primary care, reproductive, and gynecology health care for women.
- Capable of caring for an average newborn.
- Prepare students to foster health education in families and communities.
- Prepare students who can work independently and collaboratively with professional colleagues to provide health care that is effective, efficient, and responsive to the needs of individuals and families, which is important for women and infants.
- Prepare students to be respectful and provide equitable, sensitive, culturally competent primary health care to mothers, families, and babies.
