Vision

To be an excellent higher institute, independent and with dignity to develop professional activities for the prosperity of the people.

Mission

The mission of the Institute of Cristal is to:

Provide and share science and technology through the relationship between education and research to prepare and assist the development of human resources, which are important and strategic factors in the development of Timor-Leste’s sustainability.

Other specific activities to carry out the learning process, scientific research, community service at the tertiary level in the fields of education and health sciences, and professional training in science and technology based on international standards, assist trainees in obtaining the quality of qualifications and professions.

Objective

  1. Students have competence in teaching and practicing psychology and can provide services to students and clients with basic educational needs.
  2. Engage students in evidence-based practice and academic assessment of their educational services during their theoretical and practical efforts as pre-service teachers and counselors.
  3. Facilitate and create an environment where they can experience real-life scenarios in their educational services as teachers, guiding them to observe applicable educational procedures and ethical approaches to ensure safety, efficacy, and quality services for students and clients.
  4. Create an environment that allows students to experience a collaborative approach to psychological practice with their teams and enhance cultural sensitivity and interpersonal skills while engaging with students, families, and communities.
  5. Students will engage in extensive practical activities to collect data and use information management systems for educational and health activities with a robust systematic approach that aligns with psychological practice and professional standards.
  6. Facilitate students in developing lifelong learning skills to adhere to psychological procedures and norms as conditions of professional responsibility.
  7. Enable them to achieve objectives and follow best practices in the teaching process, promoting a quality education system that improves student and community education.
  8. Advocate for best practices to improve education management systems and leadership to ensure quality control for students and communities.
