About Us
Cristal Higher Institute (ISC) is a private higher education institution founded by the Cristal Foundation on November 5, 2001. Initially, the institution was known as the Teacher Training Institute, inaugurated by Mr. Domingos de Sousa, M.Ed, Director General of the Ministry of Education and Sports of Timor Leste. November 5 was then designated as the anniversary of ISC.
On March 19, 2003, the institution's name was changed to Cristal Higher Institute (ISC). In recognition of its quality, ISC obtained accreditation from an international accreditation team, announced by the Government of Timor-Leste on August 31, 2008.
ISC has two faculties: the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education and the Faculty of Education and Health. The institution is committed to becoming a center of excellence in higher education in Timor-Leste, focusing on the development of quality human resources, character, and global competitiveness.
The learning process at ISC integrates face-to-face approaches, digital technology-based learning, and the development of soft skills such as leadership and professional ethics. Thus, ISC strives to produce graduates who not only master academic theory but also possess practical skills relevant to the demands of the job market, contributing to the development of society and the progress of the nation of Timor-Leste.
