Dili, August 26, 2025 – The Instituto Superior Cristal, under the leadership of Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Dr. Jacinto de Oliveira Júnior, is set to host a Public Discourse Competition for students in collaboration with the Student Senate. This event aims to commemorate the Day of Popular Consultation on August 30, 2025, while honoring the heroes and communities that contributed to the significant events of 1999.
The competition will focus on fostering a spirit of nationalism and patriotism among students. "We hope this event will cultivate a generation of youth ready to continue the struggle for independence," stated Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, alongside Faculty of Education representative Mr. Bonifacio Cardoso Martins.
Participants will have the opportunity to enhance their speaking, argumentation, and critical thinking skills. This event serves as a platform for students to appreciate the history and values of the nation.
